For a new band Night Engine have made a bold entrance.
The London synth pop rock act were earmarked as one of this year’s ones to watch and have already wooed fans and critics alike with their slick soundscapes.
But while most bands complete their apprenticeships playing live across pubs and social clubs, Night Engine took a very different route. Instead of cutting their teeth live, the band opted to refine their sound privately, emerging as a polished, matured outfit rather than a work in progress.
Guitarist and singer Phil McDonnell explains. “We wanted to get the sound right before anything else.”
Armed with their double A side debut single Seventeen / Treat Me Like A Baby, Night Engine are ready to storm the Leadmill tomorrow (Friday June 21).
