Boyband McBusted are getting excited about their Most Excellent Adventure.

The supergroup formed when McFly united with two-thirds of Busted – former Busted singer Charlie Simpson opted not to be involved to focus on his solo career.

And now they are out on their Most Excellent Adventure tour, playing arenas across the UK and Ireland.

And they visited Yorkshire to promote the tour, which includes a date in Sheffield next week.

Speaking about how their upcoming gig will differ from their sold-out tour last year, drummer Harry Judd – winner of the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing in 2011 – jokes: “We will be baking a cake live on stage - the biggest cake ever.

“Bring your apron, a spatula and a whisk because we are going to be stirring up a storm.”

And bassist Dougie Poynter – also a TV show champion in 2011 when he won ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! – laughs: “The cake is the real star of the show - the rising star.”

McBusted play Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday. For tickets, priced from £41.25, visit www.motorpointarenasheffield.co.uk
