WITH influences such as Carole King and Sarah Vaughn, it’s not surprising Sarah Mac continues to stand out from the pack on Sheffield’s live music circuit.
And the Chapeltown miss has finally committed her talents to the studio for an EP. The impressive Everyone Knows has been released by city label Mixed In Sheffield and produced by boss Liam O’Shea.
Mac’s often intimate, piano-led sound belies her roots, as the daughter of Robbie McDonald. He was bass player for Billy J Kramer and The Dakotas who had four number ones before he went on to work with Dean Martin for 12 years, much of it in the Las Vegas Rat Pack era.
Robbie’s manager now manages Sarah, who looks set to realise her promise.
Watch her fly.
