Life offers cues to hip hop quintet

If you thought rapping and rocking was confined to Rage Against the Machine, think again.

Hacktivist, a new rap/rock outfit is on the horizon – but this band are from Milton Keynes rather than Los Angeles.

Frontman Ben Marvin says: "We perform songs about general life, but also take cues from things happening around us."

Musically, Hacktivist give a nod to Rage Against the Machine as big guitar licks punctuate forceful rapping.

Ben says: “I was really into Nu-Metal and it was listening to that which got me into all this, but we are into hip hop as well."
