THE much lauded Laura Marling is the latest muso to get the bug for playing some of the nation’s holiest buildings.
She follows the likes of Emmy The Great and a bunch of local acoustic artists at the Tramlines festival to take her talents to Sheffield Cathedral.
With her third album, A Creature I Don’t Know, out on September 12, she lands on October 22 amid a tour of cathedrals.
She’ll also be playing songs from her sophomore record I Speak Because I Can and her début Alas I Cannot Swim’, both Mercury Prize nominated.
In February Laura won the Best British Female Solo Artist prize at the Brit Awards, and best solo artist at the NME awards.
