Soprano Ella Taylor, who was crowned the BBC’s chorister of the year in 2010, is performing at St Mark’s Church, Broomhill, tomorrow, as part of the annual Broomhill Festival.

A festival spokesman said: “Ella will be performing a varied programme, including works by Poulenc and Wolf, accompanied by Neil Taylor, Sheffield Cathedral director of music.

Ella, a former pupil at Tapton School, was a chorister at Sheffield Cathedral from the age of 10 to 16, before she was awarded a music scholarship to Lancing College in West Sussex.
