Festival-goers are invited to enjoy a Little Lunch Music when an acclaimed Sheffield chorister performs.
Soprano Ella Taylor, who was crowned the BBC’s chorister of the year in 2010, is performing at St Mark’s Church, Broomhill, tomorrow, as part of the annual Broomhill Festival.
A festival spokesman said: “Ella will be performing a varied programme, including works by Poulenc and Wolf, accompanied by Neil Taylor, Sheffield Cathedral director of music.
Ella, a former pupil at Tapton School, was a chorister at Sheffield Cathedral from the age of 10 to 16, before she was awarded a music scholarship to Lancing College in West Sussex.
She recently returned north, and started reading music at Sheffield University in 2013.
Ella performs at St Mark’s Church, Broomfield Road, Broomhill, tomorrow, from 1pm.
