X FACTOR bootcamp band The Reason 4 had good reason to showcase their forthcoming debut album on the Real Radio Intimate Performance stage in Sheffield - it’s where they made it.
The four tattooed buiulders - Marc, Nathan, Glenn and Scott - have just finished recording Crying Out Loud at song king Eliot Kennedy’s city centre Steelworks studio.
And their musical guru introduced them to 200 competition winners of Real Radio and The Star at the radio station’s latest Intimate Concert, in association with Sheffield City Council, at the Winter Garden.
The boys performed 10 songs including soon-to-be-released debut single, Take It All - out on August 7 - and album title track Crying Out Loud.
Grammy and Ivor Novello award winning producer Eliot, who has produced hits for the likes of Bryan Adams, Take That, The Spice Girls and more, said The Reason’s album is the best record he has ever made.
The band, who got as far as Simon Cowell’s house in the last series of X Factor, now hope to go all the way up the charts.
Steve South, managing director of Real Radio Yorkshire, said: “The Reason 4 really did capture hearts when they appeared on the X-Factor and we were very lucky to have them as they are on the cusp of great things.
“It was a fantastic night of music from the guys.”
