One of Sheffield’s biggest summer festivals has opened for business.
Bookings are now being taken for the Lowedges Festival on Sunday, August 10.
Thousands of people flocked to join the celebrations in Greenhill Park last year.
Charity campaigner John Burkhill will open the festivities, including a funfair, music, dancing, dog arenas and 250 classic vehicles.
Food from around the world, craft stalls and a farmers’ market will also be available on the day.
Stephen Rich, event organiser, said: “We will announce shortly the full listings of acts for 2014, having had great success and huge footfall over the years.”
A medieval re-enactment with a living history camp is also planned for the festival, and there will be other new attractions.
