Celebrity Sheffield United supporter Paul Heaton is heading to the forest.
The former singer with The Beautiful South and The Housemartins is one of the first acts named for the Forestry Commission’s series of Forest Live summer gigs across the country.
The 52-year-old will be performing with his fellow former Beautiful South singer Jacqui Abbott at Dalby Forest, near Pickering, North Yorkshire.
Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, plus special guests, will be performing in the forest on Saturday, June 27.
Tickets, priced from £29.50, go on sale tomorrow, from 9am, from the Forestry Commission box office on 0300 680 0400.
A Commission spokesman said: “Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife.
“Over Forest Live’s 14-year history, money raised has contributed to a range of projects, from wildlife conservation to improvements for visitors.”
Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott are the second Forest Live concert confirmed for next summer, after The Script were announced as playing Thetford Forest on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, on Thursday, July 2,
