Sheffield chart-toppers The Human League are gearing up for a charity gig on the ‘wrong’ side of the Pennines tomorrow.

The Symphony at the Tower gig at Hoghton Tower, near Preston, is in aid of the town’s hospice St Catherine’s.

Joanne Catherall, from The Human League, said fans – some of whom are expected to travel from Sheffield – could expect ‘all the hits and a real party atmosphere’.

She said: “We do quite a party act, people tend to get up and dance a lot. Most of our songs are lively so we’re sure it will be a great night.”

Tickets are £29.50 by calling 0844 8889991, or £32 on the night.
