Fury as bowling club is left all at sea by damage to greens

A South Yorkshire bowls club claims it has been left high and dry after a delay in restoring their damaged greens.

Members of the Kings Bowling Club were devastated when the greens on Moor Road, Wath, disappeared under several feet of water. Now they have criticised Rotherham Council for a delay in starting work restoring the greens, which they say could affect next year's games.

They say the delay has been so long that rabbits are now starting to burrow under the usually lush greens.
