Funeral of best-selling Sheffield author

THE funeral of well-known Sheffield author Fred Pass, who fell to his death from a flats complex in the city, is to be held tomorrow.

Mr Pass, aged 65, of Wisewood, plunged to his death from Regent Court on Bradfield Road, Hills-borough, last week.

A police investigation into his death is being carried out on behalf of the Sheffield coroner so an inquest into the circumstances surrounding it can be held.

Mr Pass wrote the best-seller Weerz Me Dad? - humorous stories about life in the 1940s and 50s.

His funeral is at Greno-side Crematorium at 11am.
