Takeaway Test: China Kitchen

Have your say

This is a bit pricier than your average Chinese takeaway, not helped by me only having a 50p piece for the 20p parking in the Market Place.

However, the food is well worth the extra money.

We devoured the four mini spring rolls before they had even been taken out of the bag.

The wandering dragon was packed full of chicken, king prawn, mushrooms, green peppers and bamboo shoots, but the sauce was a bit on the bland side.

King prawns in yellow bean sauce with cashew nuts was altogether tastier – sweet, but not too sweet.

Egg-fried rice was fine and prawn crackers were thrown in free, along with two packets of fortune crackers.

The bill came to £19.80.
