A family-friendly affordable dining pub is being built on a business park in Templeborough and should create 60 jobs.
Rotherham Council approved pub retailer and brewer Greene King’s plans for a Hungry Horse pub and restaurant at the Phoenix Riverside business park in Rotherham, which is already home to the Royal Mencap Society, Rotherham Council and In-Tend Ltd.
Greene King’s 1.5 acre site fronts onto Sheffield Road, Templeborough. Its Hungry Horse chain has a name for good value dining in a family-friendly atmosphere.
David Newton, managing director of St Paul’s Developments, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Hungry Horse pub to Phoenix Riverside.
The creation of 60 new jobs by a leading national chain will provide a welcome boost to the local Rotherham economy and be a really valuable amenity for businesses and residents in the area.”
Work has now started on site and the pub is due to open this summer. It will offer an extensive pub menu seven days a week.
