Chicken wing eating contest

Have your say

Students from Sheffield’s two Universities will go head to head in a competition to see who can eat 50 chicken wings the fastest.

The event, to raise money for Childreach International, has already had 35 three-person teams signed up.

Each competitor will pay £2 towards the charity.

The challenge takes place at 7pm at The Beehive pub, West Street, in the city centre, on Friday, April 12.

Lianne Sellors, student and event coordinator said: “We’re hoping to raise £2,500 for voluntary projects in Tanzania. The challenge is a fun way of raising that money.”
