The creator of a ground-breaking film about the 1984 miners’ strike will host a free screening.

Yvette Vanson will be available for discussion at the screening of ‘The Battle for Orgreave’ on February 28 at the National Coal Mining Museum for England.

The Channel 4 documentary was fuelled by the 1984 Rotherham riot, where many miners were charged and eventually acquitted for their part in the incident. The screening is part of Vanson’s art exhibition, Miners, which opens at the museum on Monday.
