Family-run Sheffield brothel the subject of a new ITV series starting tonight
‘A Very Yorkshire Brothel’ airs at 10.45pm tonight, and is centred around a mother and daughter, Kath and Jenni, who run City Sauna, Sheffield’s premier ‘Massage Parlour’.
Prostitution is legal in Britain as long as you’re working alone. But if two prostitutes work together it’s classed as a brothel and is illegal.
In the series, Kath and Jenni give viewers a year of privileged access to City Sauna to show how their business works, to meet the women who work there, their clients, the intricacies of the business and their fight to legalise the brothels of Britain.
The series follows the businesses ups and downs, including City Sauna even trialling a sex robot in an effort to get Sheffield’s punters talking about the parlour.
