Family appeal to missing Sheffield girl

ANXIOUS relatives of a teenage girl who has not been seen since leaving for school on Monday morning have appealed for her to get in touch.

Sophie Taylor, aged 14, was last seen by her mum as she left for Meadowhead School as normal at about 8.10am.

It is believed that the teenager, who lives in the Meadowhead area, did attend school but left at some point during the day and did not return home that afternoon.

Police are currently investigating a sighting of Sophie at the bus interchange in Sheffield at around 7.30pm that night, where it is believed she boarded a 123 bus heading out of the city towards Woodhouse.

It is also thought that she could be somewhere in the south of the city, or in contact with a friend in Derby.

Sophie, who is white, around 5ft 4ins tall and of slim build, wears make-up and is said to look older than 14. She has long brown hair and blue eyes, and was wearing her Meadowhead uniform when she was last seen.
