Dyke fish 'being eaten'

ROTHERHAM Council has been asked to investigate claims that Polish anglers are catching fish in Treeton Dyke - then cooking them on a fire and eating them at the waterside.

Treeton Parish Council has referred the matter to the borough council.

Parish council chairman, Coun John Swift, said: “You are supposed to throw fish back. Rotherham Council are responsible for the Dyke so we have referred this matter to them.”
