Cost of wet summer
THIS year's miserable summer forced thousands of households to turn their heating back on in a bid to keep out the cold.
Torrential downpours and strong winds in June, July and August led to 36 per cent of Sheffield households turning the central heating on in order to keep warm during what should have been the country’s hottest months.
