Sheffield Theatres have announced the full cast for their Crucible Theatre production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet this autumn, starring the previously announced Morfydd Clark, recently seen in The Falling and Arthur & George, as Juliet and Pride and Cucumber star Freddie Fox as Romeo.
Opening the theatre’s autumn season with his fourth production for Sheffield Theatres, Jonathan Humphreys (Boeing Boeing, The Village Bike, Happy Days) directs Scott Arthur (Being Human, BBC) as Benvolio, Charlie Bate as Pastor, Joanna Croll (Luther, BBC) as Lady Montague/Sister, Michael Hodgson (Vera, ITV) as Capulet, Jonny Holden as Tybalt.
Hugh John (The Picture of Dorian Gray, White Bear Theatre) is The Prince, Robin Kingsland (Arcadia, Nottingham Playhouse) plays Montague, Andrew Leung (Chimerica, Almeida/Harold Pinter Theatre) is Paris/Abram, Rachel Lumberg (This Is My Family, Sheffield Theatres/tour) is The Nurse, Simon Manyonda (King Lear, National Theatre) is Mercutio, Shaun Mason (Cilla, ITV1) is Sampson/Capitan, Joshua Miles (The History Boys, Sheffield Theatres) is Peter/Gregory/Balthasar and Natalie Thomas (Boeing, Boeing, Sheffield Theatres) plays Lady Capulet.
