Sheffield movie-lovers will be able to watch the new Spiderman film before it is released at cinemas.
The Odeon on Arundel Gate is one of 20 venues chosen to simultaneously screen the premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 next Thursday, April 10.
The audience will also be able to watch live footage from the red carpet at the London premiere with stars including Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and director Marc Webb.
Odeon’s Tanya Easterman, partnerships and promotions manager, said: ‘We’re delighted to be welcoming audiences from across the country for the exclusive regional premieres of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
“Lucky cinema-goers will have the opportunity to experience the action of one of film’s great superheroes before anyone else only at Odeon.”
The latest Spider-man film tells the tale of the New York webslinger as he goes face to face with shocking new villain Electro, and deals with the return of his old friend Harry Osborn.
Peter Taylor, managing director, Sony Pictures Releasing, said: “The premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is one of the film events of the year, and we’re excited to be able to share the moment with his legions of fans across the country.”
Sky Movies HD viewers will also be able to watch a half-hour special from the red carpet.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be shown in cinemas across the country from Friday, April 18 in RealD 3D.
