Charity night at the dogs

OWLERTON Stadium will play host to the annual Dogs and Daffodils night in aid of cancer charity Marie Curie.

The event, at the stadium off Penistone Road in Sheffield, is held to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care in South Yorkshire.

Sponsorship packages can be arranged in advance and all money raised will be donated to the charity which provides free nursing care for the terminally ill.

The Dogs and Daffodils night takes place on Tuesday November 6 with the first race at 6.38pm.

A total of 13 races will be held and each one is available to be sponsored.

Katie Grinter, South Yorkshire Marie Curie Cancer Care fundraiser, said: "This is going to be a fantastic night for friends, family, colleagues or customers – and all for a good cause.

"There are different packages available to suit any organisation or individual."
