Centre stage for theatres

BRAINY Sheffield Theatres staff won the first heat of a Sheffield-wide quiz.

The Theatres team won the opening heat of ExtraCare Charitable Trust’s Great Big All Sheffield Quiz to raise money for a new city retirement village.

Proceeds will provide health and leisure facilities at ExtraCare’s Brunswick Gardens Retirement Village in Woodhouse when it opens next year.

The quiz has attracted more than 100 local companies and already over 20,000 has been raised by participating teams.

The grand final is on November 6, when the Master Connoisseur of Sheffield Knowledge is announced.
