Centre for employment sacks staff

A SHEFFIELD organisation which aims to increase employment prospects for people in the city has sacked more than half its workers.

Bosses at the Centre for Full Employment have handed redundancy notices to 13 members of staff at their West Street and Nursery Street Offices.

Those who have lost their jobs have been given enhanced redundancy on condition they sign a binding agreement restricting them from contacting the press or telling anyone they have been made redundant. None of the organisation's management team have been laid off.

The Centre for Full Employment has a list of aims and objectives which include:

To seek a society where everyone who wants to work can.

To create and support the development of more suitable, quality employment opportunities
