Car sharers pick-up point

A NEW pick-up point for car-sharers to collect their vehicles has been set up in Sheffield city centre.

Drivers can borrow a motor by the hour from Brown Street in the Cultural Industries Quarter - the fifth city centre 'hub' alongside Arundel Lane, Charles Street, Fitzwilliam Street and St James Street.

The pay-by-the-hour car rental scheme is proving a success, according to organisers Sheffield Council and Car Club operator WhizzGo.

Anyone over the age of 18 can sign up, and people are invited to a 'demo day' next Wednesday from noon to 2pm at Brown Street. To join, log on to www.WhizzGo.co.uk or call 0870 446 6000.
