Caborn praise from Lib Dem

A COUNCILLOR bidding to replace Richard Caborn as Sheffield Central MP today paid tribute to the former sports minister, who is standing down.

Sheffield Council Liberal Democrat deputy leader Paul Scriven, the party’s candidate for the seat at the next general election, said: “I would like to recognise the work Mr Caborn has done in the area over the time he has been a local MP.

“I hope he has a happy and fulfilling time outside of the arena of politics.”

Coun Scriven predicted the seat will be a “key battleground” between Labour and the Lib Dems.
