Business backs nuclear
NUCLEAR power is the only realistic option we have for the future - that is the view of a Derbyshire business forum.
The Derbyshire Members’ Council of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber say that there is no real alternative.
And the group believes it is essential for the UK economy to have a stable energy supply, and that it is right to identify nuclear energy as part of the UK's energy provision.
Chair of the council, Richard Wilkins, said: “We appreciate there are more appealing, greener alternatives but even these have their own negative impacts on the environment.”
