Blooming lovely retirement for barmaid Eileen

Customers and staff and the Royal British Legion Club in Ecclesfield Road, Chapeltown have been enjoying drinks served by barmaid Eileen Todd for more than 30 years.

And when she decided to call it a day and hang up her beer towel they were determined to give her a proper send off.

That’s why they held a party on her final day behind the bar, when they presented Eileen, from Burncross, with flowers and gifts to mark her long service.

Fellow barmaid Janet Cottam said: “Eileen has always been a very popular barmaid, very jolly and equally as friendly. We will all miss her loads.” Eileen has promised to keep in touch with visits to the club on the other side of the bar.!
