Blogger's tale wins award

A SHEFFIELD man who detailed his fight against leukaemia on the internet has won a prestigious national award.

Video journalist Adrian Sudbury's moving account in Baldy's Blog earned him first place and a 1,000 prize at the Guild of Health Writers' best online feature awards held at the Foreign Press Association in London.

Adrian, aged 25, who lives in High Green with his girlfriend Poppy Gilbert, said winning the award was the last thing he had expected when he travelled to the capital.

He said: "I know everyone says it but I genuinely didn't expect to win.

"It was just a great opportunity to escape from Sheffield, get dressed up and have a really good evening. And that's exactly what we did."
