Biker dies in collision

The 22-year-old man, from Hackenthorpe, was thrown into the air and across the bonnet of the silver Subaru Impreza.

He was taken to the Northern General Hospital while his 15-year-old pillion passenger was taken to Sheffield Children's Hospital with a broken legs and a fractured wrist.

Two passengers in the Subaru, aged 15 and 11, were also taken to the Children's Hospital with whiplash injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident at 9.27pm on Harborough Avenue, Manor, near the junction with Motehall Drive, to call 0114 220 2970.
