Baby hurt in house blaze

A BABY and two adults were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at their South Yorkshire home last night.

Firefighters from Royston were called to the house in Manor Street, Carlton, Barnsley, following reports of a blaze in one of the bedrooms.

The two adults had managed to escape from the property carrying the baby by the time officers arrived, but they were all taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following the incident at around 8.30pm.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
