Wrestling's 1PW comeback show set for sell out
and live on Freeview channel 276
Billed as ‘lightning strikes twice’, the live event – also being live streamed – will take place 17-years to the day of 1PW's inaugural show and back where it all began, at its original and spiritual home of Doncaster Dome, on Saturday, October 1.
A New Twist Of Fate, which comes 11-years after the last 1PW show, is a play on the words of its first ever event, A Cruel Twist of Fate.

1PW Ltd, reborn from the ashes of the original company, is partnering with FITE to broadcast shows worldwide on pay per view and will release its extensive back catalogue.
Today managing director Steven, who founded 1PW in 2005 and is back at the helm, expressed his appreciation of supportive fans as he revealed less than 50 tickets remain with the show set to be a sell out.
He will follow it with a show called No Turning Back and tickets are on sale for the event at The Engine Shed, Lincoln, on February 18, 2023.
Steven, who vowed to bring back global talent on a grand scale and raise the profile of modern British wrestling, says he feels honoured and blessed. He explained: "I created the company in 2005 and it became a world renowned legendary wrestling company.
"It has been closed for well over a decade and now, in my 40's I decided to bring 1PW back. It was a big risk. There was no way to know if it would be well received and it would have a lot of live up to in the shadow of its legendary early days.
"But on Saturday we present 1PWs first show in over a decade, and it is nearly sold out, and set to be broadcast worldwide via FITE TV on pay per view.
"WWE legends Rob Van Dam and Mickie James headline a gigantic star studded event that will once again make Doncaster the epicentre of European professional wrestling.
"I grew up a few miles from the Dome in Armthorpe, went to the local comprehensive school in the early to mid 90s, and lived in Doncaster for decades, so it will always have a special place in my heart, and I am so excited, honoured and blessed to bring 1PW back to life in the place of my birth."
1PW was headlined by some of the biggest names in the industry, including AJ Styles, Abyss, Samoa Joe, Christian Cage, Steve Corino, and the legendary Bret 'The Hitman' Hart, alongside a roster of premier British wrestlers like PAC, Doug Williams, Jody Fleisch and Greg Burridge.
It continues Saturday when WWE Hall of Fame superstar Rob Van Dam and women’s wrestling icon Mickie James, plus an all-star card including some names and themes from the company’s illustrious past, introduce fans to a new generation of talent.
1PW helped to launch the careers of the first-ever NXT Tag Team Champion and current WWE announcer, Corey Graves (Sterling James Keenan) and former WWE Superstar, Drake Maverick (Spud).
