Young Voices concerts have taken place at the city’s FlyDSA Arena since 1991 and the event has grown each year, with the number of shows now topping 50.

This year’s concerts will feature 30,000 children from 716 schools from across the Yorkshire region, performing in front of 30,000 friends and family over six nights.

The shows take place from Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 January and the following Monday (13) and Tuesday (14). Doors open at 6pm, with the concert due to start at 7pm.

And revellers are asked to arrive promptly at 6pm to avoid delays. Each concert is scheduled to finish between 8.45 and 9pm, with no interval.

There will also be special guest performances from ex-Spandau Ballet singer and solo artist Tony Hadley, British country music duo The Shires and The Voice winner, singer-songwriter Ruti, at all the arena shows.

Bags larger than A3 size (about 40cm x 35cm x 19cm) are not allowed in the venue – and personal belongings should be kept to a minimum to avoid additional searches and delays to entrance.

And there will be no access to the venue’s car parks without a ticket, which can be pre-purchased online or upon arrival. Drop-offs and pick-ups are also not allowed in the venue’s car parks.

The Arena is now a cashless venue and only takes card payments for on-site parking and at food & drink outlets.
