The World Snooker Championship in Sheffield may have been postponed, but the BBC has cued up plenty to keep fans entertained during the coronavirus lockdown.

It is due to televise some of the best clashes ever staged at The Crucible Theatre, which is the sport’s spiritual home, during the period the tournament should have been running.

Capita staff in Sheffield facing redundancy in 'streamlining' move

They will be screened on BBC Two and via the Red Button from April 18.

The Betfred World Championship should have run from April 18 to May 4 but has been postponed, potentially until July or August this year.
