Sheffield singer Kat Eaton releases new single, All Kinds of Crazy

Popular Sheffield-born singer Kat Eaton has released a new single, All Kinds of Crazy.

The song is a yearning, jazz-tinged love song which features Kat in smoky-voiced form with gospel-style harmony backing and guitar.

Kat’s songs have enjoyed airplay on BBC stations Radio Two and Radio London .

She told fans: “Releasing music during these uncertain times is pretty daunting but I feel like it's more important than ever.

“From speaking to a few of my friends I've learnt that most of us feel as though we're just existing instead of living at the moment.

"So if you feel the same here is my offering... I hope it brings a little bit of joy into your life.”

The singer, who is now based in London, has appeared at Sheffield City Hall with Jools Holland, Ruby Turner and the Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and performed a headline show at Yellow Arch Studios last November.

Kat and her music partner and husband, guitarist Nick Atkinson, worked together to help soul star Ruby create her solo album, Love Was Here, which was recorded with city musicians at Sheffield's Foundry studio and released in February.

They met when they all shared a manager, Chris Hesson.

Kat has also announced her first live show since lockdown, performing in London on September 17.
