Sheffield band John Reilly & the Smooth Operators pay tribute to Burt Bacharach

A well-known Sheffield musician is paying tribute to one of his musical heroes.

John Reilly & The Smooth Operators perform The Definitive Burt Bacharach Songbook with female vocalist Rachel Raynor and a host of Sheffield musicians, including Steve Beighton and Cary Baylis.

Musical director is John's co-writer and pianist Lewis Nitikman, from Vancouver, Canada.

Expect to hear all your favourite Burt Bacharach tracks plus a few you might not realise were written by the great man.

The show takes place on Friday, September 6 at Abbeydale Picture House.

John and Lewis also appear on Saturday, September 21 at The Greystones pub with special guests for a Musicians Against Cancer night.

John said he is pleased to support this venture, raising money for two wonderful local charities, St Luke's Hospice and Weston Park Hospital.
