In Pictures: Former Hollyoaks and Coronation Street star turns on the Christmas lights at Sheffield's Crystal Peaks

Christmas magic is officially in the air at Crystal Peaks following the centre’s festive light switch on.

Soap star Jamie Lomas - known for roles in Hollyoaks, Eastenders and Coronation Street – flicked the switch and brought the Christmas sparkle to the shopping centre on Thursday, November 14.

Festivities began in the central atrium and featured the musical talents of students from Westfield School, Rainbow Forge Academy and Outwood Academy City, with dancing from Razzamataz Theatre School. The evening was hosted by Hallam FM’s Simon Morykin.
