Nostalgic music show hosted by Sheffield's Chapeltown Forum

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the D Day landings and 80 years since the outbreak of World War Two, so Chapeltown Forum decided to mark both events with a little bit of nostalgia.

Forum member Susan Housley, a vocalist whose stage name is Susan St Nicholas, suggested that they should not let the dates slip by.

They decided to perform vintage classics at the event on Friday (June 14) from 7.30pm till late at Newton Hall, Cowley Lane, Sheffield.

The event will feature Sue and her son, fellow vocalist Nick James another vocalist, who will be visiting Sheffield and agreed to perform also some classics from bygone eras.

Susan said: “The plan will be for a musical evening of standards, right back from the 30s to the 60s, to cover some great songs that everyone will know and love.”

She said it’s a real family affair for them as her husband Mike will be in charge of the sound.
