And they can also meet the TV show’s popular presenter – former Sheffield United and Leeds United’s tough-tackling midfielder, Sky Sports pundit, Chris Kamara.

Kammy, as he is affectionately known, will be the special guest for the official opening at Meadowhall Retail Park, this afternoon, Thursday, September 24, from 4.30pm.

Following strict Government protocols, the centre has got the official stamp of approval and is good to go, complete with measures in place to ensure the utmost safety of all guests and staff.

Sessions, with breaks in-between for cleaning to keep the adventure park Covid-19 safe, will run today until 7pm. For usual opening hours see the web site.

Inspired by the TV show, it will combine fitness, fun as families try to master their inner-ninja as they tackle a well curated course of adrenalin-fuelled obstacles and inflatables.

The epic indoor attraction will include obstacles to climb, balance, jump and swing across, as well as the famous Warped Wall.

Wannabe Ninja’s will need to preserve some extra energy to tackle a further inflatable race course complete with big red bouncy balls, ball pit, tunnels, battle zone and the ultimate airbag leap to race through.

There’s also a Ninja Café – a great place to watch and refuel.

The show ran for five series, with Chris presenting alongside Ben Shephard and Rochelle Humes.

Ninja Warrior UK, which first aired on ITV in 2015, was based on the Japanese game show Sasuke.

There have been five series with Good Morning Britain’s Ben Shephard and This Morning’s Rochelle Humes presenting alongside Kamara.

ITV recently aired reruns of the competition’s fourth season, which was originally broadcast in 2018, during the lockdown period.
