Sheffield Culture Hub is “keeping culture open online and helping the arts community stay strong in Sheffield” after venues the city were forced to temporary close. The hospitality industry is not expected to begin reopening until 1 July at the earliest, Boris Johnson announced on Sunday (10 May).

People can see what events are still going ahead courtesy of venues determined to ensure punters get their film, music or theatre fix.

The initiative is the result of a partnership between the University of Sheffield and Sheffield City Council “to keep our city's vibrant culture accessible to as many people as possible.”

The Leadmill is among the venues whose activities are listed on the website. On Saturday singer-songwriter Billy Bragg will live stream a show on his Facebook page to raise money for the independent venue.
