For one popular tourist attraction has turned a house on its head.

The surreal ‘Upside Down House’ is one of two new attractions opening in the popular Norfolk seaside resort of Great Yarmouth.

A spokesman said: “The Upside Down House, at the seafront’s Pleasure Beach Gardens is sure to be a hit.

“Families can let their imaginations run riot and create madcap poses as they walk on the ceiling of the brightly coloured two-storey home complete with kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom.”

The house, which will be open for Easter, will be joined by a white knuckle ride named Lightning 360 next month, along with all the existing attractions along the seafront, such as Joyland Children's Fun Park and Sealife.

Perfect for thrill seekers, the ride will sit on a tower, with eight arms each supporting a two-seater aeroplane-themed carriage, that can be controlled by the user and turn 360 degrees.

Asa Morrison, of Great Yarmouth Tourism, said: “Families are going to love the Upside Down House – who doesn’t want to walk on the ceiling?

“Lightning 360 will appeal to those seeking stomach-churning rides and of course our old stalwart, the Scenic, is one of only a handful of remaining wooden roller coasters left in the UK and well worth travelling for.”

Pleasure Beach opens for the season on March 28. Wrist bands, giving unlimited access to its 26 rides, start from £19 for those age seven-plus.
