What was less known was his love of music, which began with 70s prog rock and extended through soul and funk to modern day electronic music.

Since retiring from snooker, Steve has had a growing number of invites to DJ - and when an invitation came to appear at Tramlines festival in Sheffield, a city he knows well from his many appearances at The Crucible, he couldn’t refuse.

Here he talks to Post Music about his new sideline and the joys of record collecting.
