Liam Gallagher sends cheeky message to Sheffield fans ahead of his FlyDSA Arena gig

Legendary musician Liam Gallagher brings his Why me, why not? tour to Sheffield tonight when he plays at the FlyDSA Arena.

Gallagher is currently on a nationwide tour in support of his new album 'Why me? Why Not'.

It's his second release since going solo following the split of Beady Eye, the band he formed after Oasis went their separate ways.

The run of performances includes shows in London, Nottingham, Newcastle and Gallagher's hometown of Manchester.

Doors for tonight's gig are due to open at 7pm, according to times released by the FlyDSA arena.

The first support band of the night, Lancashire four-piece The Illicits, are due on stage at 7.15pm. They are set to play for half an hour before a 20-minute interval.

Australian band The DMAs, who are heavily influenced by Manchester's famous mucic scene, including the likes of Oasis and The Stone Roses, are tonight's main support band.

They will take to the stage around 8.05 pm and play for 40 minutes before another 30-minute interval.

Gallagher is due on stage at 9.15pm and the Wonderwall singer is set to entertain fans for an hour and a half with a 20-song setlist which includes classics like Champagne Supernova, Morning Glory and Cigarettes & Alcohol.

Earlier today he previewed tonight's show with a trademark cheeky tweet that read: "Sheffield Sheffield Sheffield c’mon you know LG x".
