Mark, from Northern Ireland, brought Britain’s Got Talent judges and viewers to tears with his emotional rendition of Les Misérables song Bring Him Home, which was dedicated to his brother, Declan, who has locked-in syndrome.

He said: “Being cast as Joseph in Bill Kenwright’s record-breaking production is absolutely amazing! I grew up performing musical theatre and it really helped me find my voice as a singer and gave me the drive to pursue my passion.

“Unfortunately, due to my brother’s illness, my hopes of making a career as a performer had to be put on hold - until my appearance on Britain’s Got Talent changed everything for me.”

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours, the show was the first of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals to be performed publicly. It features timeless songs including Any Dream Will Do, Jacob and Sons and Close Every Door To Me.

The show is at Doncaster Dome from December 18 to January 4.
