The globally-famous Booking.com website has recognised family holiday park Skirlington Coast as one of the highest-rated properties in its listings.

The Unity Holidays-owned resort averaged a score of nine out of ten, earning them a 2026 Booking.com Traveller Reviews award.

Guests who booked a break through Booking.com can select an overall score from one to ten to rate their experience.

The overall Guest Review Score is based on the individual scores submitted by guests over the last three years, weighted by recency: this means that the most recent reviews have the biggest impact on a property's overall score.

“This is a really tremendous award for us to receive because it shows our guests appreciate the hard work and service of our team, and also the improvements we have made since Unity Holidays bought the park,” said Skirlington Coast resort director Darren Cavill.

“Our owners and guests are our first priority at all times, and our plans for the future reflect that as we seek to increase and enhance the facilities, entertainment, food and activities we offer them.”

It is the third time a major organisation has officially recognised Skirlington Coast with the AA awarding it a five-star grading and also a gold award last year, shortly after Visit England gave them their five-star award.

In the official citation sent to Skirlington Coast, Booking.com CEO Glenn Fogel said: “This well-deserved milestone recognises your dedication and the exceptional experiences you create for every guest.

“You are now officially one of our highest-rated guest favourites – and we’re thrilled to celebrate this moment with you. Now it’s time to share your success with the world.

“I want to extend a heartfelt thank you. Your hard work reflects the heart of hospitality.”

Founded in 1996 in Amsterdam, Booking.com has grown from a small Dutch startup to one of the world’s leading digital travel companies.

Booking.com is available in 43 languages and offers more than 28 million total reported accommodation listings.

Skirlington Coast is due to reopen to holidaymakers in late March, and has spent the winter investing some £10m on improving its indoor pool while adding an outdoor pool and lido, splash park and other family attractions.
