Teenager charged after 'shots fired' in Darnall

An 18-year-old man is due in court charged with firearms offences after shots were fired in the Darnall area.

Zain Ahmed, of Locke Drive, Sheffield, was remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’s Court today (January 29) after being charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The charges relate to an incident in Industry Road on Tuesday (January 27) when residents reported shots being fired.

A firearm and ammunition were subsequently recovered.

A 16-year-old boy was also arrested and has been released on police bail.
