Fletcher and Fox left Wednesday last July after they decided not to sign contract renewals at Hillsborough, going on to sign for Michael O’Neill’s side as they chased a bit of a Play-Off push.

But after a strong start to the season, the Potters have now won just one of their last 15 games in all competitions, and go into the clash with Neil Thompson’s side on the back of a 4-1 demolition at the hands of Norwich City.

And there was more bad news at the end of the game as regular starlet, Nathan Collins, was stretchered off with a suspected metatarsal injury, a knock that is likely to rule him out of Tuesday night’s game at the Bet365 Stadium.

Fletcher and Fox have gotten plenty of minutes under their belt at Stoke this season, playing 23 and 19 games respectively over the course of the campaign, and O’Neill will be hoping that they can help them against an in-form Owls side next week.

The last game between the two in November ended as a 0-0 draw (Fox played, but Fletcher was injured), and with Stoke eyeing a return to form and SWFC seeking to climb out of the relegation zone, both sides will be itching for victory come Tuesday evening.

Wednesday and Stoke kick off at 7pm as they battle for supremacy in Staffordshire.
