Having outplayed Swindon away, Scimitars came home to undo their good work by dropping two points against Milton Keynes.

They didn't seem able to get the same rhythm going with the visitors breaking up passes in centre ice. Robert Dowd went down heavily against the boards during a powerplay at 09.31 with Mikko Skinnari being given a five minutes plus game for boarding.

It was Sheffield's turn to hit penalty troubles in the second period, and after killing off a couple of early two minute minors, they were then hit by Slamiar receiving a 10 minute misconduct.

As this penalty expired, Milton Keynes hit two unanswered goals, the first at 37.47 and again during a powerplay at 39.40 when Randall blasted the puck in from centre blue line past Raitanen.

Milton Keynes claimed their third goal within the opening minute at 40.55 from a backhander by Perez.

Scimitars scored their only goal at 43.23 by Dowd (MOM) from a Butterworth pass.

In another break down the ice, Milton Keynes killed any chance of a revival by Sheffield with a fourth goal at 56.59 by Clarke and a further penalty on Slamiar at 59.45, ending the game at 1-4.

At Swindon, Sheffield struck three times in a six minute spell. The first goal came at 09.57 after some good passing from Morgan and Wallace to Dowd who slotted the puck home under the goalie's pads. The second followed quickly at 11.00 minutes when Moberg carried the puck in, passed to Slamiar who scored through the legs of the moving goalie. The third of the period was scored by a neat backhanded lift over the goalie by Barron, assisted Slamiar (MOM).

Scimitars extended their lead through some nice work between Morgan and Butterworth to Wallace who took puck round the goalie at 47.41. Wallace completed the scoring at 50.58 with an unassisted goal.

Scimitars next home game is against Romford on Saturday (7.15pm).
