Voth attack makes Tait lose his cool

SHEFFIELD Steelers forward Ashley Tait today confessed to losing his discipline and self-control - robbing his team of his services before last Sunday's 6-2 defeat at his old club.

Tait, recognised more for his goals and playmaking, smashed his stick into the legs of Cardiff Devils' Brad Voth, on Saturday night, earning a suspension from the following evening's game at Coventry Blaze.

Tait, who returns for tomorrow night's home game with Nottingham Panthers (7pm), said: "Voth sticked Steve Munn and that incensed me.

"This is not something I've ever done before, but I just saw red and went and did to him what he did to my teammate."

Tait had to sit out his side's emphatic loss the following night and he said: "It was really frustrating. But I hope the whole team will get rid of that feeling tomorrow night."
